life is a...

here is the jar, and the steamy chocolate in my grandmother's set, actually made for chocolate! i think it used to be hot cocoa, though, not our brewed stuff here.

i'm tilting it so you can see the color, and the relative size of the cup. i accidentally made it too strong: this color is from 1 tsp per 2.5 oz, which is the volume of the cup. when i made it with the correct 1 tsp to 4 oz ratio, the taste was much milder and more pleasant.

sorry about capitalization: typing one handed due to canine and feline infestation.

Where's the extended pinky?!?!
To be more accurately smarmy and elitist in having delicious brewed chocolate, once must extent pinky in a delicate curl, whilst sipping furtively from the cuppa. :)
Looks interesting and yummy!

Actually, according to Emily Post, the pinky thing is horribly vulgar. :) Grandma Del would have ever so politely corrected me.

I have all these delicate and dainty things that were my father's mother's and I have very little chance to use them. Heh, when you guys come visit, I'll use the pot and the creamer, too!

Consider yourselves lucky. For MINE she hurled a couple of sugar cubes at my head from a distance of 10 feet. I won't even mention what she said when I asked for cream....

I missed you! Dude! I swear, you'd think I TRIED to hit you with the cream carton or something. It's not my fault you can't catch.
